Big Spike Bluegrass, the five-piece traditional bluegrass band from Vermont, returns to Palmer Street Coffeehouse Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m.
Big Spike plays bluegrass with impeccable vocal harmonies, a powerful stage presence, a sense of humor and mastery of their instruments. They feature twin fiddles and powerful original material in the traditional style.
"Big Spike plays and sings their brand of music with emotion and drive; nothing overly glossy, just good, edgy, no apologies, in-your -face bluegrass."— Bob Amos, Front Range
Judging from their past Palmer Street appearances, always playing to a full house, the band strikes a responsive chord, combining honky-tonk and country tunes from the ‘40s and ‘50s with a strong bluegrass beat, leaving North Country Coffeehouse fans begging for more.
Palmer St Coffeehouse runs on the first Friday of the month from October to June. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. Refreshments are available. The Coffeehouse is well known for its welcoming atmosphere and fine acoustic music. For more information, find us on Facebook!
