A mandolin is a musical instrument in the "lute" family and is usually plucked with a pick. Originating from Italy in the 18th century, mandolins blossomed in the United States in the 1800's and continue their popularity today. In this beginning class students will learn "simple chords", learn four finger chords to play rhythm, and be taught some simple melodies to play so that they might enjoy this lovely past time in the future. This 2-day class meets on Saturdays, May 9 & 23.
Tuition $95. Member Tuition $85.
NOTE: Bring your own mandolin, paper and pencil.
