Barry Lobdell is a photographer who lives in Saranac Lake, NY. His work has won acclaim on the local, regional and national stages. He is a member of the Adirondack Artists Guild in Saranac Lake, where his photographs are regularly on display in the Guild’s gallery and on their website, www.adirondackartistsguild.com. Since 2003, Lobdell’s work has been shown several times throughout New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Vermont, and Connecticut. In the last few years Lobdell has also won multiple “Best in Show” awards in numerous Adirondack venues.
Lobdell states that “The technical circumstances of my photography have changed over the years but the objective remains the same, to find the heart of what I see and present it to others using the best tools available. My subject matter is often the natural landscape, particularly the Adirondack Mountain region of northern New York, where I make my home. I am also intrigued by the cultural landscape, in which man and his creations become my subjects.”
The opening reception will be held August 27th at 4 p.m. in Clinton Community College’s Moore Building located at 136 Clinton Point Drive in Plattsburgh and is free to the public. For more information contact the SCA at 518-563-1604 or visit www.plattsburgharts.org.
