The Allant Trio (www.allanttrio.com) will offer a classical chamber music concert, free and open to the public, on Sunday, August 24 at 3:00 pm at the historic United Methodist Church on Route 3 in Saranac. Works to be performed include Haydn’s “Gypsy” Trio, Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor, and the rising young Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy’s Give Me Phoenix Wings to Fly.
Describing their recent Carnegie-Weill Hall debut, the New York Concert Review wrote, “Firepower was present in each work, from the music of Beethoven and Mendelssohn to that of living composers.
