On Sunday, October 28th at 1:30 p.m., Matthew J. Glavin, author of Adirondack Treasure: The Bonaparte Legacy will present a book signing at Saranac Village at Will Rogers.
The story begins with a man named Joseph Benton having a bible handed down from his famous ancestor Joseph Bonaparte, the former King of Spain and older brother to Napoleon. Inside the bible is a cipher that family legend says leads to a magnificent treasure stolen from the Spanish Royal Treasury when King Joseph fled Spain. Rachel Riley of the Gouverneur Tribune-Press says, “This exciting treasure hunt blends historical facts with a terrific story and complex characters.” The story takes the reader from Lake Bonaparte to Cranberry Lake, Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake and Lake Placid.
This program is free and open to the public and books will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please call (518) 891-7117.
