Saturday, August 17th Andre Boisclair, Quebec Goverment Delegate Generale to New York will present at the Lake Placid Institute's Adirondack Roundtable "Quebec-New York Relations: Over and Above the Border." The event will take place in the Lookout Room of the new Lake Placid Conference Center on Main Street, hosted by the Olympic Regional Development Authority and the Lake Placid Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Delegate Generale Boisclair and the Quebec Government are in partnership with New York State Government to develop the "Corridor" project between North Country New York and Quebec Province, a collaboration of both governments in the fields of scientific and economic development, collaborative energy and transportation projects, and cultural, arts, and sports joint efforts that will result in growing the economies, employment, and cultural amenities of the North Country/Montreal region. Issues of border control and collaboration will also be addressed.
