On Fri., Jan. 24, 7:30 PM, at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Martha Gallagher takes to the stage with her new one-woman show, Where the Heart Is, celebrating life in song, story and in-the-moment inspirations. What Gallagher will also bring to the stage with her is a unique partnership she and High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care (HPHPC) have created for 2014. In the role of what could be considered an ambassador, Gallagher will entertain her audiences, but also hopes to help raise awareness about the mission of and services provided by HPHPC through her songs and stories. The show starts at 7:30 PM at LPCA, located at 17 Algonquin Dr., Lake Placid. Reservations are recommended; tickets are $15/adults and $12 students/seniors. To buy tickets, please call the LPCA box office at 518.523.2512 or order online at www.lakeplacidarts.org. A gala reception will follow the concert, hosted by HPHPC. Information on HPHPC can be found at www.highpeakshospice.org.
