Tall County is the name of a mythical jurisdiction somewhere between upsate and downstate New York. It's also the name of a real band, a trio whose members live in Hudson Valley and the Adirondacks and play whatever stringed instruments are within reach. They ( Liz and Ned Rauch and Colin DeHond) just finished their first full-length album of original songs, "Featherweight," which they recorded in Saranac Lake with Beehive Productions. It is full of fiddle, guitar, upright bass, ukulele and singing, burnished with flashes of rummage-sale keyboard, mandolin and even a little brass. Their EP "Shine" was released in 2013. Prior to that, DeHond and the Rauches made a pair of records with the Brooklyn-based string band Frankenpine. DeHond also performs with fellow First Nighters Painted Sol. Performances are at 7pm & 8pm.
