A guided demonstration by Plattsburgh State physics and engineering students will teach kids about density and buoyancy by observing objects either sinking or floating in a fish tank full of water. Afterwards, kids create their own aluminum boat and compete to see which boat can hold the most pennies before sinking. The science behind why some designs are better than others will be discussed.
