The Champlain Valley Family Center will host a 5K For Recovery and a 1M Kids Run at the Plattsburgh City Beach on Saturday June 14, 2014. All proceeds will support youth prevention programming in Clinton County. Drug abuse, alcohol abuse and addiction can tear apart families, careers, and friendships. The trained staff at Champlain Valley Family Center (CVFC) helps individuals and their families heal those wounds and move A Step Forward.
On the day of the race, check-in will begin at 8:00AM. The registration fee for the 5K Walk/Run will be $20 online prior to the event at http://www.ageeracetiming.com/Events/241/. The on-site registration fee is $25. Registration for the 5K Walk/Run will include a 5K For Recovery T-Shirt, race packet and bib number. Registration for Walk/Run will continue up to the day of the event, but shirts and sizes will not be guaranteed for those registering after June 4th. 1st , 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in five age categories (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).
A 1M Kids Run will begin at 8:30AM and the 5K Run/Walk will start at 9:15AM. Registration for the Kids Run is on-site the day of the race ($5 registration fee and a parent must be present). All runners will receive a medal for participating.
