“A young professional is defined as being a person aged 20 to 40 who has an interest in personal and professional development as well as in community engagement.”
Yesterday evening, December 6, 2012, I had the honor and pleasure to be among the attendees of the 2012 inaugural Quebec Notable Awards Ceremony sponsored by Notable.ca and powered by Ford’s cutting edge and sleek Fusion. The awards ceremony and after party were exclusive affairs regulated by guest list invitation only. I had the unique opportunity to mingle and network with some of the top young professionals from all across Quebec and celebrate at what was one of Montreal’s most notable nights of the year!!!
The Quebec winners of the Notable Awards were officially revealed last night during a lavish awards ceremony held at the Montreal Science Center in the historical Old Port of Montreal. Hundreds of Quebec’s most influential young professionals gathered around tasty food and drinks to celebrate the accomplishments of Quebec’s top talents. The selected winners were nominated based on three key factors that aimed to recognize the 360-degree young professional lifestyle;
Number of votes received
The candidates were evaluated according to these above factors by a panel of judges from various professional industries and sectors following a nomination process.
Winning a Quebec Notable Award, grants recognition by leading corporations and individuals within Quebec and the rest of the country. One can think of the awards as being an Oscar for young professionals and entrepreneurs.
During the awards ceremony, a tasty selection of canapes were on offer by JEWELS catering services including:
- 1. A peppered mint and arugula aperitif.
- 2. Little breakfast crouton of Calabrese cheese, pancetta marmalade and pink pepper.
- 3. Mushroom box croutons.
- 4. Southern soup served with a spiced Carolina style doughnut.
- 5. The Steakhouse: Quebec beef stuffed potatoes with green peppers.
Once the final pictures, speeches and closing remarks were made, the real celebrations began in full force at the official After Party, where 500 exuberant and savvy young professionals from Montreal, and the rest of Quebec, partied and toasted to the success, determination and drive of the finalists! This bevy of young professionals joined the Finalists and VIPs for networking, schmoozing, and dancing. At the open bar, innovative cocktails, wine and champagne was on offer. Attendees could also enjoy a wide range of fine delicacies including a delicious and fresh oyster and dessert bar. Some of the partner restaurants present were: La Cornetteria, Brasero Hardi, BEVO, M:Brgr, The Old Port Fishing Company and restaurant L’Orignal.
As the night progressed, attendees could dance to the rhythms of one of Montreal’s hottest DJ’s: FaFa Khan and continue networking and parting until 1 am.
What a NOTABLE night !!! Congratulations to all the winners!
