Kids for Kids
Approximately 1,500 Canadian children are diagnosed with cancer each year and about 210 Canadian children die from the disease.
Last year, one of my good friends lost their only daughter and child to childhood leukemia. Needless to say, the family was devastated.
It is during times like these that we realize to what extent cancer touches us all in some form or another and we start to see how as individuals or as community members we must act together to beat this dreaded disease.
There are several ways in which a person can contribute towards cancer research and funding:
On November 23rd , I along with 1000 party-goers, came together to celebrate Kids for Kids’ 20th anniversary! With so much to celebrate, this year’s Kids for Kids Gala was an immense success !
Kids for Kids to benefit The Sarah Cook Fund of The Cedars Cancer Institute.
The Kids for Kids Mission
Their mission is to help local children’s charities that provide essential services, by fundraising on their behalf.
Kids for Kids has joined forces with The Sarah Cook Fund of the Cedars Cancer Institute to raise much needed funds for pediatric oncology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, while at the same time staying connected to the founding mission by also continuing to support a local grassroots children’s charity in Montreal each year.
