Happy Father's Day to all the fantastic dads out there !
He taught you worldly wisdom and maybe helped you ride your first bike - and learn to love it too ;)
Today around the world we celebrate Father’s day. To honor the special man that gave you life, I have compiled below a list of interesting activities and places that your dad ( or the father of your children) will enjoy. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all!
Montreal Planetarium new dual program on Mars and Asteroids: For the man who looks towards the stars.
Discovering the depths of space via an Extreme Mission on an asteroid and visiting Mars for a day @planetariummtl
Montreal’s Space for Life recently launched Astéroïde: Extreme Mission and A day on Mars: two new multimedia shows at the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium. Both shows offer colorful journeys through time and space while combining art and science under the domes of two separate immersive theaters.
Astéroïde: Extreme Mission: A co-production of National Geographic and Sky-Skan, this 25 minutes show is narrated by Isabelle Blais and will make you realize not only the grave dangers posed by asteroids for humanity, but also their fascinating opportunities. Would it be conceivable to use asteroids as refueling points for future space missions or even to cross the solar system? The challenge we face is obviously distance and size, but it might one day prove essential to the protection of our planet and exploring new worlds.
A day on Mars: This 40 minute show is a dual presentation that first introduces you to Montreal’s night sky and then brings you on a unique ‘road trip’ to the red planet that will make you live a dizzying and fascinating immersive experience. Driven by the rhythmic soundtrack of DUMAS, you will dive deep into canyons and you brave the attacks of excessive winds and sweeping ice dunes across the planet. Your dad and you will be carried away into a world that man could set foot in a few decades and in which there might be traces of life.
